I'm out. All I want to do is lay on the couch and watch a movie instead of writing this frackin paper. I have a long way to go before it's due on Monday. I have a long time before I have to go to bed tonight. How much will I get done? A page or two if I'm lucky.
eta: now I remember why I don't have ambition to work on this. I got a little too over ambitious with the topic I chose and it's hard because it's relatively new. I think I may have shot myself in the foot on this one. Shit.

I'm the birthday boy or girl!
It's been a pretty great day. I got up and worked on homework for quite a while. Of course I was distracted most of the time by Facebook messages, emails, text messages, etc. After my class at 2, I stopped back home and discovered that my awesome roommate made me an awesome birthday cake. [will insert photo here soonish]. Ace, Canada and I went to the casino in Flandreau and I took my shot at the money booth. I walked out of it with $35 and what the casino calls a "players card". [another photo goes here] Then we came back and had birthday wishes in sugar form. I had night class at 6. We got done 35 minutes early and covered the most interesting topic of the semester. So really, today is going pretty well.

yay for monday!
It was a good weekend.
Friday: I went grocery shopping, watched Deal or No Deal, and then "watched" the first two Harry Potter movies. I say "watched" because I dozed in and out for most of The Chamber of Secrets.
Saturday: Slept in. Went to Happy Feet with Kris and Ace. Kris and I ordered pizza for supper and rented movies. We got Click and Heat. After Click, we went and got some wine. By the time Heat was over, we were both pretty out of it, so we decided it was time for bed. I decided a walk home was a good idea. Good grief it was cold out.
Sunday: Slept in. Went and got my car. Laid on the couch and watched The Aviator. I did some studying and work around the apartment (dishes, took out garbage, laundry). Ace and I watched the last two Harry Potter movies. Ace ran some errands and managed to pick up a puzzle as well as the first season of Smallville while she was out and about.
So there we were sitting at the table and putting together the puzzle watching Smallville when everything went black. I've never seen it so dark in all my life. It was 12:20 am (technically today). Luckily, we have quite a few candles in the apartment and as a result, several lighters laying around. So we lit the candles and sat in the living room and played War. Then we wanted to see how much of town was without power so we hopped in the car. There were stoplights out, streetlights out, everything....dark. It was a little creepy to be honest. So we got back and were sitting on the living room floor playing cards when the power decided to come back on at 1:40. Tired, I went to bed. I also decided the power going out was a good reason to sleep in a little. So I didn't get up until 8 and came into work an hour late. Good times.

oo de lally, oo de lally, golly what a day
Reasons why it's a good day:
- I'm about half way through the list of crappy stuff.
- It's my last Friday at the bank.
- The first two songs played by my iPod this morning were the Cheers theme and "Oo de lally" from Robin Hood.
- I might get a full night of sleep. :tired:
- I don't have to go to my class at 2. I can take the test online in the comfort of my own apartment...probably in pajamas.
- Happy Feet comes out today.
- eta: I get to talk with Rachel about The Office.

checking in....and out
Wow. Life blew up on me all of a sudden. I'm still alive and well...just busy. Unless something happens that I can't live without telling you, this will probably be my only post for the next week or so. Here's what is going on in the next week:
Tomorrow: work, donate blood, class, work on presentation
Thursday: give presentation, class, exit exam (woohoo!), study for test
Friday: work, take test, possibly drink obscene amounts of booze
Saturday and Sunday: weekend...yay! I'll use it to study....boo.
Monday: work, class, break, 3 hour class, study
Tuesday: test, test, make carrot cake
Wednesday: last day at work(again...woohoo!!), class, go to MN
Thursday: Thanksgiving - my absolute most favorite holiday
Friday: Family get together.
So that's what I'll be doing. Enjoy your week.

everybody's working for the weekend.
I'm getting shafted today. I don't have school because of Veteran's Day but I'm at work....at the bank. If they let school out, shouldn't banks be closed? That's my opinion anyway. I personally would prefer to honor the veterans. I could have been in the cities last night hanging out at my sister's place but no, I have to work this morning. I did come in for a couple hours yesterday and I'll be able to leave at 11 this morning as a result, but still. I'm really not that bitter, but it kinda sucks.
Oh well, on to happier things. As previously mentioned, I'm going to my sister's this weekend. Her birthday is on Sunday and her husband is at drill for the Army Reserves all weekend. So I'm pretty antsy and ready to leave. My roommate Ace is also going up to spend the weekend with her family so we're going to carpool. That will make the drive go a lot faster. Hopefully we'll be on the road by 11:30.
Only two and a half hours to go!

hot sauce
All right peeps, I just got back from the concert presented by his hotness, Roger Clyne. Again, the man and his Peacemakers put on an AWESOME show. The floor was thumpin, we were all drinking a lot and the music was stellar. I didn't take my camera with but he looked a lot like he did in these pictures, only with a black shirt and no jacket. I took couple of pics on my phone, but they probably didn't turn out well. Some dude bought Suz, Sandy, Kelly and I a drink, which was super. There will be a new RCPM album out soon, so I'm excited for that. And due to hungriness, Ace and I hit up Taco Juans on the way home. We've consumed the taco juans and there are abortions for those who choose to have one...the world is right again. Goodnight.
